Engraved by Laguillermie. Early 19th century historical map with original outline hand color. Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, small scattered light spotting and a couple small stains, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. We note cutting across the entire center of Africa is shown the apocryphal chain of Mts. known as Mts. of the Moon. In the bootm central cusp is a mountain height diagram with tiny numbers which correspond to the keys at the bottom side corners. Original fold lines as issued. Sheet Measures c. 13" H x 17 1/2" W.
