Condition: Very good. This listing is a program for The World-Famous Williams' Colored Singers presented by The Tribe of Ephraim St. John's A.M.E. Church. The highly regarded, classically trained African American ensemble toured internationally in the early 20th century, helping to popularize Black spirituals and combat racial discrimination through music. The program is dated for a performance on May 7, 1917 at the Xenia Opera House. The cover lists ushers, the manager and assistants. The inside pages are the program for the evening along with some ads and handwritten notes. The back cover has more handwritten notes along with more ads, including the next attraction. The program is two pages and measures 7½" x 5½".
