Paper Covered Boards. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. A set of four Beatrix Potter classics with dust jackets in the original illustrated cardboard box with shaped cut-out on front. The folding flap top box is very good with surface wear but no splits or chips. The books are slim 24mo with classic green and white illustrated covers, in white dust jackets with a central illustration of the main character. Three books, "Cecily Parsley's Nursery Rhymes", "The Tale of Johnny Town - Mouse" and "The Tale of the Pie and the Patty Pan", are in fine, as new condition. The fourth book, "The Tale of Tommy Tiptoes", is very good with a bump at the tail reflected in a jacket crumple. Illustrated with the original watercolors, newly reproduced for greater clarity and color. Later printing of the first edition with the new reproductions. The box is very good plus with light edgewear. One small flap at the side top is split and laid in. Four 5 1/2" 24mo, all in fine, as new condition, in fine and near fine dust jackets. Two jackets have very minor edge creases . Classic green and white boards with central character portraits, in bright white jackets. Includes "The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher", "The Tale of Mr. Tod", "The Tale of Mrs Tiggy - Winkle" and "The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies". 1989 imprints of the 1987 first edition with the new reproductions from Potter's original watercolors.
