Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. This copy is in fine condition bound in blue cloth covered boards with white titling to the spine and the upper board. This copy is bright, tight, white and square, there is some occasional spotting (wartime economy paper?) but this does not affect the text of the illustrations. The unclipped dust wrapper has a small nibble to the base of the spine but is still in fine condition. International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased postal rates will be quoted, where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. From the dust wrapper "The Royal Air Force had barely reached its majority before being challenged to defend Britain's right to live. It met the challenge and, despite the thrice armed might of a mechanised Goliath, Britain lives on. The fight has not yet been fought. to a finish, but the strength of this modern David grows equal at last to his skill. Already Goliath's days are numbered" Published just two years after the Battle of Britain and in the same year of the RAF's 1000 Bomber raids this collection of anecdotes, aircrew memoirs and poems is a worthy tribute to the Royal Air Force. Ref RR 5.
