A smart first edition of this very scarce study of wine from British writer John Aye, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. First edition. Very scarce work with the vanishingly scarce dust wrapper. A charming guide to buying and serving good wine, being a collection of tips and advice on what to drink, drinking etiquette, drinking customs, the wine trade in England and how to store wines. With additional notes on sherry, port, champagne, and more. Written by John Aye, a British writer and wine expert. Six leaves of publisher's advertisements to the rear. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is sound with light wear to the extremities and fading to the spine. The odd small mark with a tide mark to the front panel. Sympathetic reinforcements to the head and tail of the spine made with tape to the internal side of the wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Very Good. book.
