Full leather binding, rubbed and worn, with loss to the leather, gilt titles to a red label, text block tight, darkened page top edges, all red speckled, pages tanned. With 2 folding plates and 4 full page plates to the Windsor volume and a folding…map to the Palaces volume. Scarce Pocket Companion volume. Pagination: (Windsor) [iv], 90pp with 6 plates (2 folding). (Palaces) [ii], 44; [ii], 26; [ii], 32pp with 3 separate title pages and a map. Provenance: no inscriptions or bookplates. Approximately 6 ¾ inches (17cm) tall. Condition Report Externally Spine - fair condition - gilt titles to a red label, rubbed and worn with loss. Joints - fair condition - split to the top of the front joint, rear joint sound. Corners - good condition - rubbed and worn. Boards - fair condition - rubbed and worn, with much of the leather missing. Page edges - good condition - all edges speckled red, darkened to the top. Binding - fair condition - much of the leather missing (insect damage?), structurally holding well, text block tight. See above and photos. Internally Hinges - good condition - sound, split to the top of the front hinge. Paste downs - good condition - tanned and foxed. End papers - good condition - tanned and foxed.
