Publisher's original maroon cloth boards, lettered in gilt on spine, with gilt vignette of fox and butterfly on front board. Illustrated endpapers. Dust jacket lightly soiled and rubbed; a few small chips to top and bottom edges. Boards with cocked spine; slightly faded to spine. Scattered small spots to top and fore edges of text block; internally clean. Light creasing to top corners of a few leaves. Binding firm.

Hardback volume with unclipped dust jacket. 220 pp. Sunned appearance along the spine of the cloth cover but the binding remains firm. Light tanning to the pages, with brown foxing and speckling to the endpapers and page edges. No inscriptions or annotations. General wear and discolouration/foxing to the dust jacket, with rubbing to the extremeties. Some tears and chips to the edges and corners, including a larger 35mm tear to the front, top left corner. DJ has been wrapped in a clear protective cover. Size: 8" - 9" tall. Weight: 460g.
