Original hardcover binding with minor bumping to the corners and top edge, and to the bottom of the spine. The original dustjacket is present, and except for a few small chips is substantially complete, but is heavily creased, and was torn into six sections and inexpertly tape-repaired on the back; still looks OK in archival Mylar. Complete with six foldout organizational charts (OIR, NSA, Pentagon, FBI and cover organizations used by the CIA) and two detachable card stock pages intended to be removed at the perforations and sent to the publisher with any additions or corrections. Two of the foldouts have the top corner torn off, without any loss of text. Illustrated with a facsimile of a letter sent by Senator Joseph S. Clark to the publisher. Contains entries for Lyndon Johnson, Eugene J. McCarthy, Robert McNamara, Bill Moyers, and other well-known figures. The text is clean and unmarked. Written by the East German journalist Julius Mader (also known as Thomas Bergner) and self-published in East Berlin in 1968. The CIA Station Chief Richard Welch was assassinated in Greece in 1975, identified as an operative in this text in 1968. His assassination was one of the events that led to the formation of the Intelligence Identities Protection Act. Measures 5 11/16 inches (height) (144mm). Simultaneously issued in Russian and German.
