Condition: Poor. Original cover and original binding, the cover being a dark red hardback with a blindstamped pattern on both the front and back covers and gold lettering on the backstrip. This book has a library sticker on the front cover. The cover is in poor condition, with heavy scuffing to the corners and edges of the cover and to the top, bottom and edges of the backstrip, the joint between the backstrip and the front cover being completely torn. Part of the top of the backstrip is missing, and the backstrip itself is extremely sunned so that the lettering is barely legible. The faces of the covers also show signs of wear. The binding is loose at the front of the pageblock, with the pages up to chapter one of the main text being either very loose or removed, but still present. The frontispiece is partially removed. The binding remains intact throughout the rest of the pageblock. The text is in good condition, with no annotations or markings, and the pages are not browned with age. The outer edges of the pageblock are sprinkled with red paint.This book has hardback covers. Ex-library, With usual stamps and markings, In poor condition, suitable as a reading copy. No dust jacket.
