These were written 1934 to 1942 under the pseudonym Frances K. Judd by four women at the Stratemeyer Syndicate. Like Nancy, Kay was also a 16-year-old high school student who solved mysteries. In 204 pages + plain (not glossy frontispiece) & the chevron endpaper design, this is a later printing of the 1939 FIRST EDITION from Cupples & Leon, though it lists only to self in front matter (no lists in rear). With orange-yellow cloth-covered boards lettered in red to front & spine, this 12mo is in VG condition: quite clean & bright with scattered light soil. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Pages significantly tanned, heavier around edges, but unmarked save for former owner's name/address & "Xmas 1946" in pencil to the redesigned This is my Book" box in front & her writing in pencil about the series on the recto of the rear free endpaper.
