One of the principle characters in De Lint's 92 page shamanic fantasy is named Emma, is she stylized on Emma Bull who did the introduction ?? Bull sees this work as part four in what she terms the Ottawa Cycle. The story involves Esmeralda seeking `Blue' and being lead on an adventure full of Ojibway symbolism. SIGNED by both artists. Cond : Paper wrapper is light grey with black lettering. Cover graphic and frontispiece (this copy has two) is of a serpent among birches as seen by Gordon. Corners and edges are sharp. Colours bright, binding tight. Tiniest of flaws - one at spine tail and one at spine top. CLEAN with light general wear. No stains, creases nor marks. Collectible !! Quote (p. 20) : " . muffled sound when she picked up the bag .
