Berta Smit was Ingrid's supervisor when she worked at Citadel… Press and the two were intimately acquainted. The novel was published not long before Jonker's suicide and, significantly enough, features a drowning at a Cape Town beach. 181pp unmarked. Signed by Smit to title page. Binding fine.
