Facsimile ed. Hardback small, very good condition, beige boards with black drawings covers, red cloth spine with gilt bands, colour plates, in cardboard slipcase. 92 pp. Facsimile edition. A classic children's picture book published in 1818 by printer John Harris. He used a new method in book production by using metal engraving for illustrations. This book, by an unidentified author, has 32 hand-coloured stipple engravings showing the stalls and activities of the merchants of the Soho Bazaar. The book is about four children who visit the bazaar in Soho Square, London with their parents. (One of a set of 35 handsome facsimiles in 28 slipcases.).
