Like his son, his achievement was great.' And the Prologue: POSTERITY HAS not not done justice to Sir WIlliam Wilde. He is known principally as the father of a brilliant son' read on. Emerald green cloth boards with electric yellow at the head of the spine. Filled intermittently with appealing b/w sketches and drawings. Condition (external): some of the cloth is a little faded in places with a few markings/blemishes (image). Internally, there is mild tanning and spotting (including the latter on the book's edges) throughout - more evident on the preliminary and final pages. Also, ink signature on ffep. pp. 338/8vo.
