Full decorated cloth covers, top edge antique gilt, endpapers in chocolate brown. 412 illustrations, 100 in color. This volume contains the full history of the art publication of the Austrian Secession art movement, featuring such famous Art Nouveau artists as Gustav Klimt, Alphonse Mucha, Kolo Moser, Josef Hoffman, Fernand Khnopff, Max Klinger, etc. The volume contains biographies of the artists and an appendix containing comprehensive information regarding the contents of the publications and the exhibitions of the Secession. There is a small abrasion at the top of the front endpaper join, and very slight age toning towards the page edges, through the preface and the final 4 bibliography and index pages, otherwise the book is Fine. Likewise, the dustjacket has very slight edgewear and a tiny chip at the upper rear fold, but is otherwise fine. A beautiful copy of the uncommon English edition. In uncertain economic times, what better way to invest your money than in items of lasting value you can hold in hand and enjoy?
