Paperback. First Edition, First Printing. Octavo. 5.25 x 8.25 in. Unpaginated. This is one of a limited printing of 500 copies, of which the first 100 were signed and numbered by Wright. Though this copy is not numbered, it is inscribed on the front free end paper to David Madden, an NC-based author and historian: "For David Madden, from Charles Wright, in Red Stick, LA Feb. 7, 1975." Red Stick is a toungue-in-cheek name for Baton Rouge. The inscription appears around Madden's name, which is written in the book in his own hand. The back cover features a black-and-wight portrait of Wright taken by fellow poet James Tate. Very good in original illustrated wrappers, with a slight bow to the front cover from previous reading. Signed.
