Hardcover. Condition: Good. First Edition. Hardback. No Dust Jacket. 8vo. pp 244. Original publisherÕs blue cloth, lettered gilt at the spine. Portrait frontispiece. Illustrated in b/w throughout. Slight tanning and slight wear to covers, otherwise very good. Lacks folding map at the rear.

Condition: Sehr gut. Original cloth binding, 244 pages, frontispiece, 22 illustrations on plates, large folding map in separate pocket at the end, but missing the sketch of the Chot Pert Massif, small tear at spine with very small piece missing, gently rubbed, gentle signs of use, good condition. Travels in the Shingshal Mustagh Area of the Karakorum, in today`s Pakistan. Wonderful Association Copy - the copy of the Royal Central Asian Society with their library rules inside the front cover and a red library label noting that the book cannot be taken out of the library on the front cover, no other library markings. Original blue cloth slightly pulling at the head of the spine. Occasional foxing through out mainly affecting the page edges. A rather untidy ownership inscription on front paste down dated 1944. Plate facing page 52 'The Chot Pert Massif has possibly been replaced at some time. Neate, 525, " Exploring north of the main range, in the Raskam, Shaksgam, Oprang, and Bealdu valleys.".
