Extremities worn, spine sunned and board edges stained. Hinges starting to crack and title page browned, but otherwise a very good copy. 1898 gift in…scription on first free endpaper. A collection of dramatic poetry suitable for reciting, including verse from Australia and the US. 'The aim of this book is to furnish both the dramatic reciter and the elocutionist with a new collection of pieces for recitation and reading.' It includes practical hints for reciters and, at the end, a few press opinions on the Rev. J. J. Nesbit as a reciter. The author is stated to be the Vicar of Rodmersham, Kent.
