The work shows the influence of the master printer Walter Hamady who taught printing and papermaking at the University of Wisconsin at Madison for many years.

First edition. 175 copies. 22pp. Three graph paper illustrations sewn through the pages. Original handmade paper covers with matching paper wrapper; title letter-pressed to front cover; a fine copy indeed. Inscribed by author to publisher Marion Boyars " 12.16.83 For Marion Boyars - w/ pleasure - Toby Olson". Beautifully produced with many small, lovely details, like the blind letter-pressed "colophon" across the colophon page, the thin line running along the bottom of all the pages and the way the long tails of the strings used to sew the graph paper illustrations to the page were left to dangle, evoking shooting stars. Book.
