Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Good. Sold as a pair, both maps showing the development of roads round London in the inter-war period. In each case, one side is of the London district to a scale of one inch to the mile; with the opposite side having a scale of one inch to four miles and showing the area mainly to the south of London (see… photos). Both printed on thick paper, with general wear: small holes to folds and in the case of the Daily Mail map, a few splits and marks. The maps cover very similar areas. Daily Mail map dated 1932. Newnes map thought to be slightly later (comparing road development) c.1935. Daily Mail produced by Standford; Newnes by W & A.K. Johnston. Further details available on request. (n624o20).
