Mass Market Paperback. Condition: Good. First Edition. I believe this was the first UK edition - I am not aware of their being a hardcover editon. This is an odd book in that internally it is the third printing of the Bantam paperback edition from the early 1970s. The covers are however for a Corgi Books edition which is priced…at 25p although it uses the Bantam cover design it has the Corgi logo and ISBN. Originally published in the US by Dodd, Mead & Company in 1946 and then in paperback by Lion Books both under the name Kenneth Millar. The front cover has a two inch tear at the left side at the bottom along the spine and a quarter inch tear to the right edge with an associated crease. Reading creasing and fading to the spine. The back cover has a little fading along the right edge and a small stain near the bottom right corner. Heavy browning to the insides of the covers and the pages are browned but are otherwise unmarked. First printing. Postage charge will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed.

Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Publisher's grey cloth with black Red Badge Detective logo on the front board and black lettering on the spine; this original hardcover binding is clean, tight, and square. The interior is clean except for previous owner's small bookplate on the fron…t fly. The text is clean and unmarked. The dustjacket remains unclipped ($2.00) and is bright and attractive with chipping at the spine ends and along the upper edge as well as rubbing to the folds; the front panel is attractive and the jacket generally presents well under fresh archival mylar.
