Levine was a physician working in Centralia, Illinois. Herbert worked hand in hand with Sister Kenny, also of Centralia, to create a polio clinic. His book titled, "I knew Sister Kenny-The Story of A Great Lady and Little People." Dr. Levine was a natrive of Pittsburgh, Pa., he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and Chicago Medical School. He is listed in "Who's Who in Midwest"," Dictionary of International Biography, Personalities of the West and Mid-West and in the 1972 edition of "Creative and Successful Personalites.".
