There is also a typed note describing the author's relationship with Gwendolyn Brooks that is signed. The boards are covered in a silver material and have green lettering on the spine. There is some loss to the silver at the spine ends, edges and tips. The interior of the book is clean and without underlining, highlighting or marginalia. The pages are evenly toned. The dust jacket shows some areas paper loss, and the back panel is soiled. Additionally, there is toning at the folds and the dust wrapper is price clipped. The copyright page has the "A-4.61 [v] designation. Inscribed by Author(s).
