Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. This G quality likely second format book, as per Mattson & Davis, was copyrighted in 1911 and was published by Grosset & Dunlap; it is 7-5/8" tall with 207 numbered pages of text followed by 12 unnumbered pages of ads. This book is square, reasonably clean, free of edge dings with all four corners lightly bumped; the head and heel of the spine are bumped with some fraying; the bottom edges have very little wear. The spine is clean and not faded and does have some light general wear but the lettering and the oval image are intact. The front panel is very clean with very little wear. Both front and rear panels have numerous dots and spots of color loss, where the paint seems to have dissolved, exposing the threads of the cloth (see photos); the spine is also affected, but to a much lesser degree. Except for a penciled name and inscription on the FFEP, the interior is free of writing and stray marks; there is a large water stain on the FFEP which did not stain many pages, but which has warped many of them so that they are a bit stiff and inflexible. The text paper is mildly toned. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. It has a frontis on coated paper. The list at the rear of the book lists to title #32.

About good condition in tan cloth printed in black and red, black and white frontis plate, no dustjacket. Some expected rubbing to the extremities, some shelf soil consistent with use, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages, name very neatly written on front free endpaper, no other markings. Hard Cover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
