Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. Illustrated (illustrator). First Edition. First edition. Introduction by Dr. W. Barclay Stephens and "An Appreciation" by Jean Louis Roehrich. Original cloth, slight fading to spine, very good plus to fine minus. In original red and yellow dust jacket with the original price intact on the front flap, closed tear at bottom of front fold, wear to bottom of spine. no chips or other tears. great eye appeal. This jacket is recently out of storage after 50 years!!! This heaviness of the book and fragility of the dust jacket made for major problems for the jacket. Because this jacket was stored separately from the book, it has kept most of its original beauty. It is now housed in a archival jacket protector. The book itself is one of the most important books for watch collectors, and we can't imagine a better copy every coming on the market.
