10 cassettes in one case, 8vo., a fine set. Publisher's code CAB 1919; total playing time 11 hours 57 minutes. Chivers Audio Books are arguably the finest audio books available. The author's original text is unabridged, the readers (usually professional actors or broadcasters) are selected for the quality of their characterisations, the recordings are produced to high standards in Dolby stereo and the cassettes or discs are housed in robust 'diamond' packs. Not surprisingly, used sets are scarce and almost invariably ex-institutional copies. Sets in the present state and condition are very uncommon.
