Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. An excellent copy but sadly the title page has been removed. It is probably the first edition of 1927. 320 pages.

Softcover. Condition: Poor. Reprint; 37th Thousand. Tatty paperback, spine repaired with brown tape, card covers chipped with scribble on front cover, pages age tanned, name on half title page. 252 pages + 4 pages of publisher's adverts, final page has top corner torn off. A Four Square thriller, undated but assume early 1940s (not a wartime production).

Published in London in 1901, this is the scarce British First edition of this Science Fiction novel where terrorists evaporate much of London, figured in Locke "Spectrum of Fantasy" and Bleiler "Checklist of Fantastic Literature", bound in the original pictorial covers, the covers have some marking to upper board, some general edge wear rubbing, a bump to the cloth at base of spine with small splits, internally old ownership name to endpaper, endpapers browned, browning to page edges with some occasional foxing marks else in acceptable condition. Very uncommon in First Edition form.
