This 6.5 x 9.5 inch, 272 page hardcover book with dust jacket is the first printing of this book as stated on the copyright page and with the 1967 publishing date on the title page. The book itself with the soft orange cloth covers with black spine wrap is in fine condition, with no wear or damage to note. The spine gilt lettering is bright and clean. The interior text is without condition issues to mention and really in flawless condition. The dust wrapper is in near fine condition with only a bit of wear and browning at the back fold. Ernest Thompson Seton was one of America's most distinguished naturalists and outdoor champions of the early twentieth century and this book by his second wife gives us an accounting of his life. Seton always emphasized the importance of the natural world to his readers and he gave early support to the Boy Scouts of America movement, and helped design the first Scout handbook. 272 pages.
