Angus (1873-1960), the first Professor of Mechanical Engineering for the University of Toronto and Head of the Department there for many years (1907-1944). The Robert W. Angus Medal was established in 1957 to honor the late Robert W. Angus who was for many years Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto. This award is to recognize a Canadian engineer for outstanding contributions to the management and practice of mechanical engineering. Hardcover has black boards with gold lettering and bands on spine, but no DJ. This copy is from a public (or perhaps a company's) library and modified to appear privately owned. Filing sticker removed from spine, hand hash marks on page-edges so library stamps are not ledgible, rear end-pages glued together, reverse of title page bleached on marking and occasional black-out of stamps within text. These modifications did not affect book's usability or general condition. Interior is tight, clean and otherwise unmarked. Pages are above average thickness and semi-gloss coated. Copyright 1917.
