Overall, a fairly nice condition for such a rare dustjacket. It is now housed in a removable plastic archival sleeve, for future protection. Boards are red cloth with a beautiful silver gilt decoration to the front board in a beautiful, clean condition. The gilt lettering to the spine is also in a very good condition. 218 pages are all present and tightly bound. Beautifully illustrated endpages are slightly browned. The colour frontispiece is a replica of the image to the front panel on the dustjacket, and is in a beautiful condition. The signature of Beverley Nichols is pasted in. Red topstain is in a good condition. Beautifully illustrated throughout by Richard Kennedy. Few small fox spots at the page edges.
