The cover has some general light black staining on the cover, which is visible in the central cream area where the title and author and painter is given. The spine has been slightly bent in various places and is bumped at both the top and the base. Towards the base of the spine there is a small black mark about 5mm in length and 1mm in width. There is some shelf-wear to the tail-edge, where small parts of the cover have chipped away. There is more substantial chipping at the fore-edge corners, and around them, where larger pieces of come away. At the top corners these chips are about 1.5cm in total, with the board underneath having become soft and bent. At the bottom corners the front cover chip is about 5mm, with the back cover having two areas of about the same size but less severe. There is very slight foxing to the ffep, rfep and title page. There are very small markings and stains of use throughout, though the text and images remain clear.
