There is a message from the King on the frontispage. The front of the leatherette cover has the insignia GVIR (George Sextus Rex). A placid copy. The frontispages have some storage damage. The text is printed by Charles Corrall in a minute but clear typface, which would later be used to print Pickering's 'Diamond Classics' series. 150 grams.

[New Testament] CONTEMPORARY BINDING. Very small octavo (9 x 5cm), unpaginated, containing the whole New Testament in very small print to thin paper. Contemporary horizontal-grained brown full morocco, with gilt titles to spine and extensive blind decoration all over. All edges gilt, with purple-coated endpapers. Extensive black ink ownerships to front endpapers. Heavy rubbing to gilt edges, and moderate wear to binding, somewhat cocked. Very good.

Soft cover. Condition: Fair. A Fair miniature book in full leather. No date, 1880 estimated. Book is 3 3/4" tall, 1" wide. Full leather with general shelf wear, some chipping to spine ends, gold gilt "NEW TESTAMENT" and "OXFORD" to spine. Previous bound in purple/blue ribbon book mark remnant a top text block edge. Pages are complete and clean, many pages slightly dogeared, creased. A quite solid example of this unusual production. All of our books are individually inspected and described.
