Hardback. Condition: V.g. 2nd Edition. xxxiii, 463pp. Inscribed by the author and facsimile autograph to the frontis. portrait of Charles Keene. Original dark blue cloth, gilt. 'To Henry Dyke Acland inm slight acknowledgement of many kindnesses and with love from the author'. Badly foxed to the tissue guards and foxed to exrtemities. A sound copy in an unfaded binding. Charles Keene was an artist and prolific 'Punch' illustrator. Owners library marks on lower spine and on half-title-page.
