Notable tanning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Book has forward lean. Boards are mildly warped.

Neate mentions that the author also wrote detective stories under the pseud. Glyn Garr and lists 19 titles on mountaineering and technique, including the Climbers Beside Book'.
