unbound. 1st print. Foolscap, original paper, printed in black and red, 12 pages (recto only). Last page loose from the staple in top corner, last page small chips to edges. Very good condition. Published by Millars' Karri and Jarrah Co.Testimonials collected by Western Australian focused timber company regarding the high quality and durability of karri and jarrah. References made include: the 1897 Commission of Engineers in WA, which paraised the timber jetties in the south-west and the bridge over the Swan River; railway engineers in India; dock works in the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia (including Fremantle South Jetty); mining timbers in India; and building timbers in the UK, India and Australia. There are also technical results of tests regarding strength, fire resistance, etc. A testament to the economic and cultural significance of the circulation of Western Australian wood within what was then an Empire.
