Saul, a pioneer in the quantitative study of psychoanalysis, Saul was Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry, University of Pennsylvania, and Emeritus Training and Supervising Analyst at the Philadelphia Psychoanalytic Institute. He was past President of the Philadelphia Psychoanalytic Society and of the American Psychosomatic Society, and served on the Board of Professional Standards of the American Psychoanalytic Association. An uncommon early title from the prolific author of books and articles on psychoanalytic technique. First edition, first printing in near fine collectible condition.
