Described as "A Magnificent Novel about the Columbia", this story of steamboating on the Pacific Northwest's largest river was first published by Dodd Mead in 1940. This copy is a tenth printing from 1964 from the Pacific Northwest's publishing house of Binfords & Mort. Front endpapers illustrated with a map and drawings depicting scenes from the book. There's a bookseller's label on front pastedown, edges are just a little yellowed, and bottom corners are very slightly bumped. A very good copy indeed in very good, price-clipped dust jacket with wear and nicks to edges and folds.
