Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First published in the UK 1926, this is a second impression of 1938. Some slight edge wear and chipping to top and bottom of classic Hodder yellow jacket and spine, corners slightly rubbed and bruised, 'skinned' patches to top back jacket (removal of… old sticky labels?), not price clipped (price on spine, 2/-), no inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg+ copy for its age, in bright unfaded jacket. 316pp. The Haverils were a clan of hard fighting, quick tempered men who pulled the trigger first and seldom regretted it afterwards. Barry Haveril, most reckless of them all, left his father's ranch to prospect for gold, but before he found the mine that was later to make him a rich man, he encountered the famous outlaw called the Laredo Kid and beautiful Lucy Blue. Jackson Gregory (1882-1943), was an American teacher, journalist, and prolific author, mostly of western novels. Quite a scarce book.
