Softcover. Condition: Very Good+. 1st Edition, Stated; First Printing. Pictorial wraps with black titles. Light, general wear with typical light toning on pages. The book is square with an uncreased and uncracked spine. Solid copy. The book purports to be an expose' of a Hollywood glamor queen of the 1940's, but is mainly the sor…t of "high-class" sleaze that Holloway House produced in the 1960's before narrowing in on the urban black market. The author, Leo Guild, has been called "the greatest hack ever," and this book is evidence of the veracity of that statement. Here's a sample of Guild's style: "She drank down her coffee, locked the door and took off her dress leaving herself in just bra and panties. When she did that, I had an idea." I reckon so. ; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 264+ads pages; Stories about the antics of movie stars ca. 1960 and earlier. Lots of interesting profiles and anecdotes. This is a stated First Printing, #HH-105. It is a paperback original. True firsts of Holloway House books are relatively uncommon.
