    , [50] unpaginated pages, 24 tipped-in monochrome photographic plates, edited to "represent the character of modern European Art, both as regards figure-painting and landscape", photographs taken direct from paintings, many appearing at either the Royal Academy (London) or the Salon (Paris), each plate is accompanied by a page of descriptive text, from the library of the Linder Family [Leslie, Enid, etc.] First Edition , the cover and end papers are damp stained, pages loose and binding detached, some plate and pages edges are slightly chipped, there is an ink mark to the "Girls Shrimping" plates, all other plates are clean and in good condition, inscribed to Charles Linder [JP] June 26th 1880, the condition of the bind is poor but the with contents good it is in fair condition , bound in red cloth with blind and black ruling, gilt titles to the spine and front, gilt and black decoration to the front, gilt block edges 37.5 x 27.5cm Hardback ISBN:
