Full brown reverse calf, sides ruled with single decorative blind fillet, red morocco label lettered in gilt to upper covers, spines with raised bands, two brown morocco labels lettered in gilt (red and brown morocco labels lettered in gilt to vol. 2), upper edges dyed brown. Red morocco labels with 'Norfolk' lettered in gilt to upper covers. Boards scuffed and rubbed with loss to extremities, joints split but holding, contents generally clean and crisp throughout with occasional toning. Joseph Keble (16321710) was a lawyer and writer, and son of Richard Keble, commissioner of the great seal from 1649 to 1654. The statutes are not abridged, but published as they were in the rolls. As an aid to the reader, Keble also includes Pulton's or Rastal's Abridgement text in the margins of the work. ODNB; William and Mary Law Library].
