Condition: Fair. 1939. First Edition. 117 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over red cloth boards. Gilt lettering. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Boards have noticeable shelf wear with rubbing and corner bumping. Moderate sunning and marking. Gilt lettering is darkened. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge wear with tears, chips, and some areas of loss. Noticeable tanning, rubbing and marking.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. viii, 118pp. Red cloth-covered boards; blind embossed borders on front, gilt titles on spine. 12mo. Sun-faded spine. Mottled boards. A little cocked. Top text block edge dusty, remaining edges starting to tan and fox. Free endpapers starting to fox and tan. Signed and inscribed by author on front pastedown 'Phyllis & Guy with heaps of love & gratitude from Pat. Middlesex Hospital 31.1.39'. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket has some loss at spine ends, shelf wear, chipping and creases to edges, not price clipped. Foreword by the Bishop of London.
