Map
Hardcover. Condition: Good. B/w paper map 72 x 53cm folding into publisher's red cloth case with printed title label 12 x 16cm, with 31pp Visitor's Guide bound inside the front, and facing publisher's adverts. Map scale is 69.12 Statute Miles to a Degree. The guide covers the approaches, means of locomotion, hotels and inns, lodgings, tours, dictionary of places, and postal arrangements. Undated c 1880s (the Addendum to the guide refers to the Roman Villa discovered at Morton in April 1880). Map appears very good to the front, with a few closed tears, mostly at folds and intersections. There are several short tape reinforcements to the intersections at the back - the tape has yellowed, but this has not carried through to the front. The covers are good, with wear and tear along the spine. The booklet is good, tanned to the last leaves, with come creasing, marginal ticks and a couple of short underlinings, and previous owner's name to the final page (E. Millman).
