single sheet, folded. oblong 4to. single sheet, folded. (12) pages. Privately compiled by George Nama and Charles Simic in an edition of only 7 numbered copies, this being number '3'. A fine copy. Handwritten poem by Charles Simic, illustrated by George Nama. "'Eventail' sept exemplaires originaux, no. ." on rear cover. Poet's script and artist's designs have been applied to washes of green, orange, and white over sheets of printed vocal music. Winner of the 1990 Pulitzer Prize in poetry and U.S. Poet Laureate for 2007-08, Charles Simic (1938-2023) wrote moving, surrealistic poetry often based on his own experiences, particularly his traumatic childhood in what was then Yugoslavia. OCLC records one copy only worldwide, found at The Morgan Library.
