hardcover. Condition: Very Good. London, 1786; leather covered boards; no dust jacket; covers slightly soiled and rubbed; spines faded; red title boxes and green volume # boxed; corner tips exposed; small cracks to bottom of external hinges but bindings tight; light foxing to pages at each end; interior unmarked with occasion soil smudge; book does not close tight - maybe front board very slightly warped; 8vo, 7 3/4" - 9 3/4" Tall; 646 pages.

Full-Leather. Condition: Near Good. Witty and Erudite Letters to Mr Spectator. Complete 8 volume set, all title pages dated MDCCLXXV ( 1775 ). Period full-leather bindings with Tree pattern on fronts and backs. Gilt decorated spines with horizontal divisions. Title in 2nd compartments. Splits to leather down sides of spines, 4 volumes have the front board detached and one volume has both boards detached ( all boards are present, none are missing.) some edge wear and rubbing to leathger. 2 volumes have their title labels, the other 6 are missing. From the library of Alexander Higginson, large Bookplate with Armorial Bearing on endpapers. Text blocks firm and text pages in very good, clean condition. No inscriptions. Set weighs 5 kilos so shipping Outside UK will be extra.
