Blind-stamped decorative border on front cover. Orange marbled endpapers and gold head-edge tint. Cover ihas some light soiling at the top edge. Cloth splits on the spine; at bottom rear side and top and bottom of the front crease of spine. Bottom end of spine has light tattering. Top of spine is torn withlarge triangular section missing. Material missing at tips and spots along edges. Bottom edge has distortion, some page bottoms stuck together and some bleeding ffrom water. Hinge is weak between pre-title and title page. Text block is sound and not marked. 463 pages. 1700 photo illustrations. Heavier than standard book. S&H will be adjusted.

Some shelf wear to covers of both volumes, slight smudging and damp staining. Cover corners and spine edges worn through. Top edge of volume two has large tear across spine. Gilt imagery on front covers and spines, slightly worn. Top edges of text blocks gilt. Some damp staining and foxing to text block edges, and slightest smudging to end papers of both volumes. Sticker on each fpep. Front and rear hinges of both volumes are split, binding is holding with no loose pages. Knocked at the top corner of volume two. therefore description as good only.The bindings remain tight, the contents clean and unmarked. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Reprint. 896pp (plus catalogue at end of volume 2). Over 1700 illustrations including 46 coloured plates. Name stamped on inside front and back covers. A few minor nicks and creases but overall clean and with no serious faults. Red hardback covers of both volumes have gilt illustrated decoration on front covers and spines - but are bumped on the corners with some shelf wear along edges. Small area of surface loss to top edge of volume 1. Minor foxing to text blocks. This is a wonderful photographic record of Spain in the early 20th century but a heavy set, 5kg so extra postage will be required. We will advise.
