Hardcover. Condition: Good +. 6 1/4 x 8 1/2 in.Half brown crushed morocco, with marbled paper boards. 5 raised bands and gilt lettering and decoration on spines. W. S. Hiltz, binder. Marbled endpapers. Gilt upper text block. Small David B. Ogden bookplate on front paste down. Tissue-protected frontis. Condition of the books is GOOD+ : wear to edges and tops of spines and raised bands, leather dry, wear to marbled paper boards, corners bumped/worn, foxing to edge and bottom of text block. Text very clean, bindings tight.Vol I : "First Series - Choice Passages" : 1850. iv, 596 pgs. Condition : GOOD : 1/4 " diam. mouse chewed hole to lower back of spine, otherwise as noted.Vol II : "Second Series - Special Collections" : 1849. 693 pgs.
