Edward (Teddy) Evans, a Senior Royal Naval officer, accompanied Captain Robert Scott on his Polar expedition as his second in command. This is the story of this ill fated expedition. There is a list of all the personnel on the expedition (with their nicknames). It includes both the shore parties and the ship parties. In 1938 the first illustrated edition, "With 31 photographs" with the now well-known selection of photographs by Ponting was published. There have been many re-issues. The 1954 edition contained 13 photographs and no maps not the 31 stated on the title page. However we have laid in PHOTOCOPIES of the maps for you the reader.
