Section C touches on the changes in the numbers of different types of books as recorded by various trade journals scattered throughout the period. Section D considers the price structure of publications listed in the same journals. Section E is occupied with looking at the sorts of data available for periodicals during the period, and attempting to see if any trends can be deduced from them. Section F looks at various sources which give us some idea of the economic and cultural context into which we must fit the patterns discussed in the preceding five Sections.
