Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Jacket by C. E. Turner (illustrator). 1st Edition. First edition, first impression. Some edge wear and chipping to top and bottom of jacket and spine, rubbing front jacket, corners rubbed with small loss, spine very slightly faded, some slight spotting to page fore edges, some overall dust and time staining. Not price clipped (10/6), no inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg copy for its age. 256pp. The story of jealousies and rivalries at a Naval College. The writings of Commander Frank Gilbert Hackforth-Jones R.N. (1900-1982), reflect his own love and experience of the sea and sailing. He was the author of several novels and books for children and also wrote for BBC radio, the stage and cinema.
